Students from BA (Hons.) Public Services are working on an exciting community engagement project. The students are designing and building a float to enter into the Manchester Day Parade in June 2012. This year’s Parade theme is ‘The sky’s the limit….a celebration of heroic achievements’.
The students have decided to celebrate the work of John Dalton the renowned atomic theorists who also studied the challenge of colour blindness and who lends his name to one of the University’s buildings.
The group of students will be helped through the design and build processes by artist and activist Tracey Moberley.
Come along and lend your support at the Manchester Day Parade 10th June 2012 2pm-4pm
