Welcome...

Trauma is a free film screening group based at Manchester Metropolitan University. We screen films every Monday during term time, with each season lasting three to four weeks. These themed seasons generally deal with movies which are extreme in filmic practice, theory or content.  We also occasionally collaborate with other groups to screen one-off films and mini seasons. Trauma has been running since Summer 2004, since then we have screened various seasons, all constructed and delivered by people who attend regularly. Each screening consists of a ten to fifteen minute introduction, followed by the film and then a group trip down to Sand Bar on Grosvenor Street for a few drinks and a discussion about the film.   All Trauma attendees receive a hand stamp at Sand Bar for a 10% discount on drinks all night. Screenings start at 6pm and are usually held in the Manchester Lecture Theatre, All Saints Building (see individual film listings to confirm venue). Everyone is welcome and admission is FREE.
